Dress To Impress In Irish Green

posted on 6 February 2012

Shopping for outfits suitable for a wedding can be a tricky business, with a few glaring red flags to bear in mind - from bridal handbags to bridal shoes, there's a lot to consider. It can't steal bridal thunder, so nothing in white, it has to look respectable if you're going to catch a bouquet without provoking fear, but most importantly, with an abundance of snap happy amateur photographers around, you need to look gorgeous. Being a redhead, there are certain traditional wedding wear colors I am allergic to - pink and orange being the main culprits. My fashion holy grail is therefore my dark green over the knee length dress with a cross over style neck line, working with my ginger tones, giving me rich green Celtic charm and an hour glass cut to add a touch of 50s style glamour. The neck line hints at, but hides the cleavage, with the cross over pleats giving plenty of support for a stint on the dance floor. Teamed up with a black shrug, this dress is versatile, suitable for both ceremony and after party.

My Favourite Footwear, a Quick Primer

posted on 4 February 2012

Footwear - there's just so many varieties - from snow boots for kids to flip-flops to trainers to work boots! I love two different types of shoes that I just could not decide which one to write about so I choose both! The first shoes are Clarks - an English based company that makes very fashionable shoes such as the Wallabes and the Desert boot. Both of which I enjoy very much and are very popular in the United States. The Clarks Wallabes go very well with dress pants or jeans and so do the Desert boots which I like to wear with Levi jeans. Clarks Wallabes come in many different colours and come with a choice of high or low top also. My second favourite shoe is the Nike brand in general. They make both fashionable shoes that are both great for athlectic activities and wearing as a fahion item. One of the most popular shoes made by Nike are the Air Jordans that are very expensive but just too much for my budget!
